PROFESSIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Created web based application for project management, including milestones, inventory, knowledgebase, tasks and timelines for school district and personal use.

Designed, implemented and executed strategies and architecture for wired and wireless network infrastructure and telephone wiring for a health care environment in new construction and pre-existing structures.

Successfully supervised support for Information Technology areas, including PC and hardware support, telephone and paging support and software deployment. Field Technician, Pomeroy IT Solutions, Buckhannon, WV: 2008-2009

o        Contracted position with Upshur County Schools, providing Tier 3 support for over 3,000 PCs, wired and wireless network, telephony (VoIP and POTS), various break/fix work for all wiring, technology devices and inventory management.  Experience includes cable runs with CAT 3 and CAT 5 cabling, termination, troubleshooting and all cross connections.  Serves as consultant for new wired LANs and areas as well as wireless LANs and hardware purchases and upgrades.

Hardware Support / Telecommunications Technician and Webmaster, WV Paladin, Buckhannon, WV: 2008 – 2009

o        Owner of a business (contractor), providing break/fix work for PCs/servers, site surveys for networking, telephone systems, security systems and other hardware.  Primarily work is performed in big box retail units, hospitals and other corporate environments – some work performed in a residential setting.  Cabling of coaxial cable, CAT 3/5/6, fiber and other low voltage wiring from the box to final termination.  Also continue to deploy website and web development solutions.

Hardware Support

  • Support and maintain the network infrastructure and external data circuits, including CAT-5/6 and fiber cabling, hubs, switches and routers
