Additionally, this application will send screen shots regularly of all laptop activity aiding in the recovery process. Works on desktops too.
You'll need a valid email address and a machine to put it on.
Cost is sixty dollars ($60.00) for the configuration and installation of the software on one laptop or desktop. Assistance in discovering the location of a stolen laptop with the software installed is always free.
There are no better counter-measures for anti-theft than securing your laptop and keeping an eye on it and there's no guarantee a thief wouldn't take your laptop and totally wipe or remove the hard drive, but as a stop gap for most case scenarios, this is your best bet.
